Privacy policy

Who we are

Langkah: First Then ("Langkah", "the app") is made by Alhazme ("we"). This policy covers the app and this website. If anything here is unclear, write to us at the address in Contact.

What stays on your device

You can use Langkah without telling us anything. What you add is saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad:

• Your child's name, if you choose to enter one, and the buddy you pick (Dino or Dina).
• Boards, activity cards, timers and stars.
• Photos you choose for your own cards.
• Voice recordings you make for your own cards.
• Your settings.

We run no server for the app. We cannot see, copy or recover any of this, and the app never sends it to us or to anyone else. The app does not ask for gender, a diagnosis, or any health information.

Device backups

If you back up your device with iCloud Backup or to a computer, Apple includes the app's data in that backup, as it does for other apps. The backup belongs to your Apple Account and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.

What the app asks permission for

• Microphone. Only when you record your own voice for a card. Recordings stay on your device.
• Photos. You pick a photo with Apple's photo picker. The app receives only the photo you choose and cannot browse your library.
• Notifications. To tell you when a timer ends while the app is in the background. These are created on your device. We send no push notifications.

Read aloud uses the voices built into your device.

Purchases

Langkah Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. We never see your card details, your name or your email address. To check that Pro is unlocked, the app asks the App Store on your device. Apple gives us sales totals, not who bought.

Diagnostics shared by Apple

The app contains no analytics. If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" in your device settings, Apple may show us crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you. You can turn this off in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Langkah is set up by a parent or carer and used together with a child. It collects nothing from children or adults. In Child Mode your child sees only the board, with no advertising and no links out of the app. Leaving Child Mode takes a grown-up answering a question. Settings and the purchase screen are in Parent Mode only.

Deleting your data

You can delete a card, a board or a child profile inside the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes everything it stored. Copies inside a device backup are managed in your Apple Account settings.

Your rights

Privacy laws give you the right to see, correct and delete personal data that a company holds about you. We hold none from the app, so there is nothing for us to send or erase. If you have emailed us and want that email deleted, tell us and we will delete it.

This website

This site sets no cookies and has no analytics or tracking scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may log technical details such as your IP address when you load a page. See the GitHub privacy statement.

If you email us

We receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you, and we do not add you to any list.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches you.
